Kristin is a graduate from York University’s Theatre program with a focus on acting, singing, dancing, directing…well maybe no focus really. In her spare time, she can be found sleeping and eating. Recent acting credits include:  Rosalia in West Side Story, Cabaret, Young Frankenstein (Curtain Call Players); The Taming of the Shrew (Jaybird Productions). Kristin would like to thank Alex and Katy for making exciting new works and including her in them! She’d also like to thank her family for being nothing like the Albas.

For Pure Carbon: Debut

Dorcas is going into her fourth year at the University of Toronto studying Theatre and English. Selected acting credits include Baht in Paper Series (UofT), Woyzeck inWoyzeck (UC Follies) and upcoming as Lysistrata in Lysistrata (Woodsworth Performing Arts Collective). When not found on stage, she can be seen directing, dramaturging, and stage managing various projects. She’s incredibly excited to work with Pure Carbon for the first time after becoming a fan of its experiments!

Erin is very excited to be working on Experiment #4 with Pure Carbon this spring.  Having graduated from George Brown College two years ago, Erin has worked with many theatre companies all over Toronto including Hart House, Spur Of The Moment Shakespeare Collective, The Arts Engine, Shakey-Shake and Friends, Aim For The Tangent Theatre and more.  She is also a member of Tsingory Dance Company, and is currently working on a web series called Female Therapy.  A huge thanks to Alex and Katy for having her on board again, and to her wonderful boyfriend, Luke, who keeps her sane through all the Toronto craziness. Thank you!

Renée is a Halifax-born and Toronto-based performer. A graduate of George Brown College (Theatre Performance), she has spent the past two years working on new plays, short films and her budding skills as a ukulele virtuoso. Brittany is a Sheridan College graduate and is very excited to be working with Pure Carbon Theatre on their next experiment, The House of Bernadette Alba. This summer you can find her in the Toronto Fringe Festival, on the edge of Parkdale biking along the lake or hiding under SPF 45. Recent credits include Rounding the Bend (Out of the Blue Theatre Company/Paprika Festival/Toronto Fringe Festival); Shit Song for Some Island (Aim for the Tangent/New Born Theatre).

For Pure Carbon: Red (Red Winter), Juliet/Regan/Claudius/Regan (64 Ways to Die: A Shakespeare Death Cabaret), Masha (three sisters: an experiment)

Meara is a theatre creator, director, and producer. Recent projects include producing Take Me Back to Jefferson (Theatre Smith-Gilmour), We Walk Among You (Artichoke Heart Collective), and Here After (Upstart Theatre), directing In the Dust (Ad Hoc Collective) and The Things I Need to Know (Paprika Festival), and devising and performing in The Boomerang Project (Mixed Company Theatre). She has worked with companies such as the Rhubarb Festival, Theatre Gargantua, selfconscious Theatre, the Toronto Fringe, and Dancemakers. She is currently the Metcalf Foundation Artistic Producing Intern at SummerWorks Performance Festival.
